TYPES OF CTO NON GOVERNMENT (PRIVATE SECTOR) MEMBERSHIP

Carrier Members are international and regional air carriers, and international and regional passenger sea carriers serving the Caribbean area, admitted to membership of CTO by the Board of Directors.

Allied Members are companies, corporations, firms, organizations, agencies or individuals providing goods and services to, or otherwise engaged in the tourism industry of the Caribbean, admitted to membership of CTO by the Board of Directors.

Affiliate Members are such organizations, the objectives and activities of which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, complement those of CTO and are admitted to the membership of CTO by the Board of Directors on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine. Affiliate members also include Exchange members and Collaborators to whom membership is extended by formal agreement with the Caribbean Tourism Organization.


BENEFITS OF CTO PRIVATE SECTOR MEMBERSHIP

CTO will provide its non-government members with the following opportunities:

* Meet and network with public sector decision makers of Caribbean tourism, e.g. Ministers and Directors of Tourism and National Tourist Office representatives;
* Meet with tourism executives in the private sector, e.g. hoteliers, media, airlines and cruise lines, tour operators and travel agents;
* Be recognized as preferred partners and have their services utilized by CTO and its members;
* Be represented on the CTO Board of Directors and to elect their representatives (some categories of member only);
* Participate in the Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference and select other CTO events, at special rates;
* Receive market intelligence and industry trends information;
* Draw on CTO's technical and advisory services;
* Access any travel-related special offers which CTO might negotiate from time to time.
