The Diaspora’s loyalty to the Caribbean is unquestioned and their commitment to regional tourism is undisputed. While they tirelessly act as unofficial tourism ambassadors for their home countries and the region on a whole, many also want to play an even more direct role. Diaspora entrepreneurs wish to invest at home and want to know what opportunities are in the tourism sector and how to access them.
The CTO has been a pioneer in recognizing the significant contribution that the Caribbean Diaspora makes to the development of the Caribbean and endeavors to gives them a voice. The Caribbean Diaspora Forum is a provocative and stimulating dialogue among the Caribbean Diaspora, regional tourism officials and industry leaders which allows the officials to provide updates on developments that affect the Diaspora and the Diaspora to share opinions on how well the Caribbean tourism industry is facilitating their unique needs, while delivering on the other visitors expectations, in the Region’s complex dance to meet and exceed the satisfaction levels of all visitors to the Caribbean.
