CTO Foundation 2014
In 2014, the CTO Foundation awarded six (6) Scholarship and six (6) Grants amounting to US$45,000 to successful candidates from Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Jamaica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines who are pursuing a variety of education and training programmes within and outside of the Caribbean, including Sports & Leisure Management, Tourism with Project Management, Events Management, Hospitality Management with Languages and Tourism Marketing.

The CTO Foundation: Our Progress to Date
In 2012, the CTO Foundation awarded scholarships in the tune of US$65,000 to successful appli-cants from the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Jamaica, and St. Kitts who are pursuing tourism/hospitality studies at various educational institutions within and outside the Caribbean.
More than 190 Caribbean nationals have benefitted from the CTO scholarship and grants pro-gramme to the tune of over US$700,000 since the CTO Foundation was founded in 1997.
According to Bonita Morgan, CTO’s Director of Regional Human Resources Development “The scholarships are part of CTO’s commitment to developing the region’s human resource ca-pacity and supporting a well-trained, competent and efficient work force so that the region can be globally competitive”.
